Hi guys... I have my pc runing windows 7 and i have an extra hdd... I was wondering if i could unplug my windows 7 ssd, try to hakintosh with the other drive and if everything goes wrong, plug the ssd and continue using windows like nothing happend.

Is there any risk of having to reinstal win? Do y have to flash the motherboard bios or something? Also, if i hackintosh and then plug the ssd aswell, would i be able to dual boot?

Thanks!

Sold my build..

Depends mostly on your hardware other than storage.

this is probably the only place i'll hang out anymore: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/274320-the-long-awaited-car-thread/

Current Rig: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, Abit IN9-32MAX nForce 680i board, Galaxy GT610 1GB DDR3 gpu, Cooler Master Mystique 632S Full ATX case, 1 2TB Seagate Barracuda SATA and 1x200gb Maxtor SATA drives, 1 LG SATA DVD drive, Windows 10. All currently runs like shit :D

Tonysmacx86 is a good place to look at for help, Though that would work (assuming all of your parts could be flashed to look like Apple hardware.)

I actually have a future build that will be a Hackintosh(No expected day of completion; Pretty much one part at a time.)

So I'll share it...

i got a hackintosh X99 5820k GTX 980 rig up and running right now.

Getting OS X up and running is somewhere in between Windows and Linux in terms of difficult. It also really depends on your setup which is mostly the motherboard/cpu and video card.

A gigabyte motherboard is HIGHLY recommended and makes things a lot easier. Asus usually works too. Anything else and ya it might be a bigger struggle.

Graphic card drivers can be a pain as well. If OS X supports your gfx card then you are good to go. If it doesn't then nvidia might have you covered with their web drivers: e.g. GTX 980 is supported through the web drivers. Idk much about AMD driver support tho.

I recommend following Unibeast from Tony and then Multibeast for your initial setup. Once you know how hackintosh runs then I would format everything and install the clover bootloader instead.
