http://www.polygon.com/2014/11/11/7194359/assassins-creed-unity-helix-points-microtransactions

The game will allow payers to buy in-game currency (primarily the Helix Credits) for real world money, with prices going as high as $100 for some of the stuff.

While these currencies that you can gain through normal gameplay, prices are structured in a way where you will have to do a lot of grinding in order gain enough credits.

While some may defend it in saying it is optional, it is still bad, as when micro transactions are involved, it typically points to design decisions being made where they intentionally added elements, or made adjustments to the game that are not fun, or simply provides a sub par experience in an effort to push people into spending additional money on the game.

This is a horrible trend and should not be tolerated by anyone, especially when you are already paying full price for the game.

This is not pay to not grind or anything like that. You do not see game companies selling micro transactions to skip to the ending of a single player game, the reason why is because people buy games in order to enjoy the story and game play, and it will not be profitable to expect people to buy something that will allow them to skip good content.

This is ruining the game. You shouldn't be able to buy in game currency, it ruins the game. There's only 1 game where it's okay to buy in game currency, and that would be GTA: Online

Fuck, maybe I'll come back tomorrow and see the news board filled with shit like:

"Just in, Assassin's Creed is a video game"

"If features Assassin's"

"You have a wrist stabby thing"

"Made by Ubisoft"

"Has two ass' for those bun bun loving folks"

No thanks, why the fuck are people so horrible at centralizing conversations? All the bullshit about Unity and Ubisoft could have been kept to 1 or 2 topics, this is ridiculous.
