How long do I have until my R9 270x gigabyte edition let's my fps drop below 30 with high settings on 1080p

2 years I think.. Assuming high settings and not Ultra settings?
Depends on RAM, CPU and such too but that's just 'eyeballing' it

go try ac unity or  crysis 3 on max settings  

but i think you should be fine for the next 1-2 years atleast, if you dont mind to lower the settings a little:)
