Locked at 30 fps.

I've been playing Battlefield 4 for the past couple hours. Just 10 minutes ago, I noticed that I my fps is locked at 30 suddenly when usually I have 60+. I searched for the problem and changed some settings like changing the power management to maximum performance.

 

I have a GTX 970 G1 Gaming, do you guys have solution to fix this?

Have you checked your settings for BF4?

DO you have any type of overclocking software that allows you to limit FPS? (Afterburner/Precision X/GPUTweak ETC)

V-sync is off.

Haven't checked other games but the settings are the same as usual.

I have used Precision X but I haven't check if it locked my fps.

Check some other titles, as well as the settings for BF4. You may very well have been playing at 30 FPS for quite some time, not realizing it.

 

Also, check through Precision X, see if you capped your FPS by mistake.

I updated my driver to the latest one that NVIDIA provided but it was ok after that. No FPS locked of something. It just  happened randomly during the time I was playing.

 

Check some other titles, as well as the settings for BF4. You may very well have been playing at 30 FPS for quite some time, not realizing it.

 

Also, check through Precision X, see if you capped your FPS by mistake.

I'm not fps capped. I just checked.

Yup take a look at other games and if they aren't capped then do a reinstall of BF4, or look for how to modify the config file of the game. Could potentially be a line written in there that's doing that.

All it needed was a restart. Sigh...

 

 

I forgot to include that I noticed some weird crap going on my pc a little while ago. There was League of Legends screen artifacts everywhere. 

 

But it's fixed now. Thanks for the help guys!
