Put something small under the laptop's feet like jenga blocks or highlighters, it's likely that it's hardly getting air so when the GPU usage goes up it can't cool it adequately.

i have plenty of space under it, didnt work

well I would look from something that isnt passive then.

I think linus showed off a laptop stand awhile ago with a 180mm fan in it.

On a side note maybe look at cracking it open to see if there's no dust in it, maybe swap the thermal compound too.

Its all about those volumetric clouds

Compressed air or one of these guys ought to do the trick.
I don't know about Mac's, but you can throttle the CPU in windows, maybe there's a setting for it in Yosemite, that should lower temps.
100c is way too hot.

Currently I'm using DVD cases/ bottle caps/erasers to prop up my Y50, seems to do the trick, apart from a monthly cleaning.
Basically dust is the enemy, you can try taking it to an Apple store and ask them to clean it for you, these things get clogged like hell.
I would not touch the rMBP unless I had a spare kit of replacement screws and a high quality screwdriver along with an Anti static band.
