Alphacool VPP655 OT12

That's perfect for it. Good choice.

Hello community!

Finally my watercooling parts arrived, but I`m still waiting for my case, so I can`t really start on the build.

Being my first complete watercooling build, I decided to take a look at the fittings, see if everything... fits.. They work great, except for the pump, it has massive nozzles and the tubing won`t fit on it even if I stretch it(I did not attempt, but the tube fits in the whole there... so I think that stretching it might ruin it). I was not aware that the pump has a "brother" the T12 that Linus uses on his "ULTIMATE "Overkill" Water Cooled Build" that has smaller nozzles, this one(that I have) has some threads.. but in the box that I ordered, nothing came to put on it.

Do I have to return it to get the other pump? Or is there a way to put the tubing on it?

I`m using 13/10 mm compression fittings G1/4.

Thanks a bunch,

Alex

You should be able to fit the tubing around the pump ends still.  Couple of tricks you can try include sticking the ends of the tubing in boiling water to heat them up and make them able to flex more.  Also, combined with sticking the ends of the tubing in boiling water, after you remove the tubing from the boiling water, then stick a pair of needle nose pliers in the end of the tubing and open up to pliers so to stretch the tubing.. Making the tubing much easier to get around the pump inlet/outlet connectors.  Most proper, good quality, water cooling tubing will flex and stretch without worry of splitting or cracking.

I have a VPP655 pump as well, but using 1/2"ID x 3/4"OD tubing, did not have to really worry about this issue.   :)

If that does work, you could also try a pump top for a D5. Just remove the pump off the one you have and fit the top to it.
