Faster chargers?

Probably a dumb question but would (just as example) Charging a phone (s3)

To somewhat answer your question:

 

The thing to pay attention to is the Amperage.

 

2.1A is a safe "fast" charging speed although you can find 2.4A chargers that are not official supported.

I... I fixed it. I've never been so proud.

The amazon one is 0.85A

The ebay one is 2.1A

 

The ebay one is far faster, so much so that I am not even sure the amazon one would charge your device(you might consume more battery than it can charge if that makes sense)

So the more (A) the faster it charges? Does it cap at certain amount?

The "suggested" amount for a phone is 2.1A

 

You would probably be fine with a 2.4A but, I wouldn't adventure too much further up.

 

And yes Amperage is the main driving factor as everything else should mostly be the same. (mainly 5V)

Yes. It does not cap but you will break your phone if you use too many amps (think burning electronics smell broken).
