So i'm checking out rams and ssd for this coming up black friday.

I stumble onto the hyperx fury and ballistix ram, both 2 sticks of 4gb ddr3 rams.

So the hyperx fury's are more expensive, how big are performances in real time? Are they the same and just taht the hyperx fury has better looks?

Also in real time performance, how does the M500 vs Samsung evo 840 perform ? Boot time, read/writes. etc.

Thanks in advance.

the only difference is the speed mhz 1333,1600, 1866 and the latency cl 8, 9, 10

check those the higher the speed and the lower the cl the better

Neither are the best the sandisk extreme II or sp920 are better s in faster

I mean like at speed 1600, i don't really remember the latency or cl's but its either usually 9 and i'm not sure about the specifics. Also doesn't sandisk use sandforce controllers which are pretty bad? And by "Faster" is it noticeable

If by 'performances in real time' you mean what are the perceptible differences, I'd have to say you're not gonna notice any.

As for M500 vs 840 comparrisons, these were the first I found http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/05/28/crucial_m500_480gb_ssd_review/8

After reading that, i came to the conclusion that paying an extra for the same amount of space/gb, around $120-140 for an 840 evo 256gb, it would be more worth it. However i didn't seem to notice "Real time differences" all i saw was benchmarks where ultimately the 840 won.

I don't exactly understand what it is you want.

The writes and reads performed in those tests were real and they happened over a period of (real) time.

You're not going to find a reviewer anywhere doing a test by booting your exact sytem so that you could determine what your personal benefit is going to be from choosing one or the other drive.

Ah okay, thanks for correcting me. Also can you give me some input on my ram question ? ballistix vs hyperx fury 1600 mhz, 2 x 4 gb sticks

You are likely not to notice a difference in your ram choices. But the ssd is going to be noticeable. Maybe not by a whole lot, real world, but it will be there. I can't lie though, slightly biased towards Samsung ssds :3. I have a 256gb 850 pro, and absolutely love it
