NZXT S340?....

Hey guys, as some of you may know i hate my Phantom 530 by NZXT. I had my eye on the NZXT S340, and i will be buying some corsair performance fans with it, for the front intake. What do you guys think? Will this S340 be a downgrade from the 530? I reckon the S340 look's like a smaller version of the H440. I also chose the S340, as i need a smaller case. I am also well aware that there are only 2-3 or whatever it is HDD cages. Anyway do you think i should go for the S340?

The S340 is just a cheaper version of the H440 with less of the perks like the colour etc. There are 2 SSD mounts and 6-8 (cant remember) HDD mounts in the S340 so you should be okay with that too. It's a downgrade in some respect but a good upgrade. I'd go H440 if you can budget it though.

The s340 looks amazing imo. ID get one along side my Soon to be h440.

It is a smaller h440 pretty much. I bought one, I love it personally. There is room for 2 2.5inch drive with I believe 3 3.5" drives but it could be two. I have two installed but I saw someone on youtube with a drive lower than mine so it could be three.

Yeah sadly I don't know if it's three mounts but I know it's at least 2. As I said I saw someone mount a drive lower than the 2 I have in my system in a video, I think.

Thanks guys! Will aim for the S340, but if i can stretch to the H440 that would be good, atleast if i can afford the H440 i won't have to buy extra fans.

s340 has 2 2.5inch drive mounts on top of the PSU shroud

2 3.6in in the cage underneath and one spot below that attached to bottom of case for a 3rd HDD

 

It is a great case from the little bit I was able to play with mine, now that the the custom paint job, a perk of this case its blank canvas for artwork, I will do more, will start planning the customization of the interior when I pick up the case today/tomorrow.

 

Very solid. What I can tell should have decent airflow with the 2 big gaps on top/bottom of the front panel
