I have found a good deal on pc parts but need the best cpu for thenfinal choice.its between the i7 4790k and i7 4770k the difference between the two builds is $20, but I stil dont know which one. The motherboard is the Asus maximus formula 7, gpu is Asus GeForce gtx 970, 8gb of ram(may be more) and the power block is Thermaltake SMART Series SP-750PCBUS 750W. Total cost is minimum of $1057, thats with the i7 4790k

Don't buy that PSU, its crap.

Go with the i7-4790k.  Also, you don't need such an expensive motherboard, the gaming series motherboards don't provide better performance, just looks.  Something like an Asus Z97-AR will perform just as well and cost less.

What psu do you recommend? Needs to be under $70

Could you provide me your overall budget, location, intended uses(rank them in terms of priority), any old components that can be reused?  Do you need an operating system? peripherals? monitor?

The build doesn't include the os. Idk hw much I will have when tax time comes around. Atm December gives me 250 January will give 300 or so and when taxes are done maybe another 600-700. I plan on getting most of it from walmart.com-love benefits, and the gpu is best from newegg.com but ncix has it for lss rhan 350. I'm building it for a simulator coming out this December.http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?113153-TANE-Hardware-Discussion

Total budget for the machine is say $1,200?  Do you live near a Microcenter by chance?

Besides price what's the difference between Kingston full 8gb and the one you suggest?

Which Kingston 8GB?  You need to be specific because there are different speeds and latencies in RAM.

Also, in order for someone to see that you have replied, you need to quote or "@" them.

@Faceman sorry about. You seem to be the one helping me out atm.I do have the Kingston hyperx genesis ram, just don't know what ram they are. How would I find it out?

Google.

Is it a 8GBx1 or 4GBx2 kit?

You can use it in your new build just fine.  If you want, I can change the color scheme to blue/black.  It is what I use in my build.

Its a kit of 2 but idk how to find the gb's the numbers are khx1600c9d3k2/8gx

Are you unfamiliar with google?

Its a kit of 4GBx2.  You can reuse it in your new build.

@Faceman can I use the ssd as an internal flash drive.unplug it when not using it? I hate losing drives with all my information on them.

Thats just silly.  You want your operating system to be installed on your SSD, as well as frequently used programs.

Buy external 2TB HDDs for backups.
