I'm also wondering the same and I think the post about the Corsair fans are a good answer. 

Although I also wonder if a 230mm fan in the front of my case will perform better than two 120mm fans? I don't care about the noise level, I'm just interested in the pure performance.

this question comes back and back again... people need to search the topics, noctua are good, but ugly and expensive, corsair af are good and will look good in allmost any case, and then there is the "cheaper" ones, wich i don't know anything about :p
