Are these temps ok?

My 4790k on the hyper 212evo at idle runs around 34ish and hits a max of 85 at 100percent load

85C and less is ok for 24/7 use.

As long as you're not constantly cracking 90 deg C, you're fine. I would suggest turning up the fan speed on the 212 Evo a l bit or using better thermal paste if you're worried.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

85C is bit high at full load on EVO. What voltages are you running with?
