help with explaining how usb bluetooth receivers work

so i have a Fiio E07k portable DAC that i hook up to my S3 but have to stick them together and have a otg cable which is inconvenient to say the least, so i want to use my phones bluetooth and stick a bluetooth receiver  in the usb port of my DAC. the only thing is is that i dont know if the receiver requires a driver to pick up my phones bluetooth or if anyone thinks there would be a lose in quality (i woudnt think so like actual bluetooth headphones since its essentially one and zeros until it reaches the DAC).
