Best PSU for this build.

adamrutter3

Hi guys!

I am wondering what PSU would be the best option for this build.

MSI GeForce GTX 970 GAMING 4G in 2-way SLI

Intel i7-4790K

MSI Z97 GAMING 7

Corsair 2x 8GB, DDR3, 2400MHz

Corsair H100i

2x Samsung 850 Pro 128GB

WD Black 1TB

I was thinking EVGA Supernova G2 850W or Corsair AX860i 80Plus Platinum.

PC: i5 2500K 4.2 GHz. Cooler Master Seidon 120V VER2. MSI P67A GD55 B3. 8GB Corsair RAM. Corsair TX650W. Gigabyte Windforce GTX 970.

Notebook: ASUS N56JN-CN038H, i7 4700HQ, 8GB RAM, GT 840M 2GB, 750 HDD 5400RPM, 15,6" 1920x1080.

Go for the EVGA one. Should be way cheaper and it's really good

G2 850W

That's exactly what I thought. Corsair is so expensive and I don't even know if it beats EVGA.

Is nicer to look at but I think the EVGA one has better internals and is a bit cheaper

The EVGA Supernova G2 750W is plenty. Those cards use less power than the 700 series.

It always good to have some extra.

You will have extra with the 750W. You will probably use around 400W-500W max.
