I'm looking for a fancy SLI bridge to make my setup look a tiny bit nicer. I have a pair of Strix 980s on a Rampage VII Gene board so something black/red would be awesome.

Why don't companies make fancier ones? I know EVGA make the pro bridge and that'd be great if I had reference cards with a green/black/silver build but I don't. There must be a marker for this kind of thing.

Right now I'm using the one that came with my motherboard, much like the one in the image below but I'd love something prettier. Considering the kind of people who run SLI setups, I'm sure they wouldn't mind paying an extra $20 or so for something that looks good.

I'm sure it'd be possible to paint the EVGA one to match

You think it'd be possible to change the LED for a red one in either of those bridges? I don't have a lot of soldering experiences but I do make my own audio cables out of Van Damm cables and Neutrik Jacks so I'm not a total noob

I know the feels. The one that comes with the asus z97-A is like an ugly salmon brown color.

I know those ones, I had one with the gigabyte board I used with my old x48/i7 920/580 sli combo and I hated it. We go to such lengths to colour match and make our builds look so awesome yet this one piece of the puzzle isn't filled by aftermarket parts.
