Hey guys i've recently just built my z87 rig and when i come to turn it on with the button on the case the pc just powers up for a second then turns off then on then off then on then off, but the weird thing is it turns on properly when i use the onboard button on the mobo, its no power issues or nothing because ive already installed all my drivers and windows and everything, its just the front panel connectors won't work when i press the button on my case, also i still have the same issue when i short the two pins on the board, BTW im actually posting this from my new rig

Any ideas anybody? really confusing issue :(

make shure the positive and negative are in the right spot on the motherboard for the plug

Makes no difference as there is no negative or positive plug on the front panel connnector for powering on the PC.
