Hello,

Half a year ago i bought two Asus R9 290 DCII OC for my little computer project. Since the beginning i am having problems with them. I mounted a EKWB on both of them and since their connectors are quite difficult to work with ( in my oppinion ), i messed up. During the first leaking test one of the connectors was leaking and some cooling liquid dropped on the cards. I disassabled both of them, wiped of the cooling liquid and waited for two days to make shure everything was dry. After that i mounted the stock cooler and put both of them into my old system to check if i broke something. Everything seemed fine and i started over again. Finaly i got the pc to work without leaks. I was so damn happy to see the start screen of windows, but approximately 1 minute later my screen turned black and another minute later the system shut itselfe down. I tested each card individually and realised that only one was them caused this problem.

I hit Asus up to get some info on this problem but since i mounted new cooling blocks my waranty was gone and they had no idea what causes this issue.

Normally i wouldn't even ask for help because i might have caused the problem myselfe but in this case it is different. The other card seemed to work fine at first but after playing games for some time, i started to get short blackscreens.

So i thought it might be a problem with the motherboard.

All drivers are up to date, the temperature of the running card stays below 50 even under heavy load like 3DMakrs Firestrike.

My Setup:

CPU:        Inel 4770K stock 4 x 3,50GHz

MB:          Gigabyte Z87X OC

RAM:        4 x Corsair Vengeance 4GB @ 1600

Graphics:  Asus R9 290 DCII OC

SSD:         Crucial  M500 124 GB

CPU, MB and Graphics are watercooled with two different circuits.      1. MB, CPU      2.GPU, Fan controller

I am thankfull for any ideas and sry for my bad english :/   I am not really used to write long texts :D
