I'm currently living in university accommodation and I was wondering if there is a cheap way to stream games from my desktop PC in my room to the common room which is about 10 meters from my PC and through 2 walls.

For example if I got a very long ethernet cable could I stream through that cable into a second PC sat in the common room? Or could I connect them both to the same network via powerline ethernet since the student flats come with 2 ethernet ports, however the kitchen/common room doesn't.
