Anyone Else have this issue?

  This is really weird, and im hoping someone can help me. 

I launch any program that uses the GPU (more than normal windows, chrome etc) and when I close the program, if I start typing, it has a 2-3 second text lag when I type. This happens when I launch and close a game and GFE.

Stupid question, do you use a wireless keyboard?? 

actually, good question!

I am currently, the Logitech K360, but I used a PS2 Keyboard, A Dell USB keyboard, and Another DeLL Keyboard and this issue still persisted

maybe you use Virtu ?? and it switch between your gpu and onboard to save power and that makes it lag abit ??? but not sure (Not something I have tested alot)

Really, I dont care at this point, its juts annoying if I have to type something while tabbed out of a game :P

Did you check if you use it ??? it often comes as recommended drivers in many utilities.

what is it?

its called virtu under programs if you have it installed.. 

 

 

If that's not it, I will follow this post and maybe learn something my self to help the next one.

does the lag continue? or is it only for say a few mins, if so it could be that the app is hanging and or saving and thus causing the lag. have you defraged your hdd recently? it could be that your fragmented files are causing lag issues.

it lasts for about a minute.

okay

yes sorry i forgot to mention ssd do not suffer from fragmentation problems but they also dont suffer from lag either. so if your using an ssd the issue could be in the program

I'm leaning towards drivers. Since you mentioned your GPU, have you made sure your drivers are up to date? If so, have you tried older drivers? Has this issue always been there or did it just happen recently? If it happened recently, try a system restore.

its been happening for im guessing 2 or 3 months.

I've done system restores but they didnt help

Try different GPU drivers, then.

ill try and report back here tomorrow
