Odd Desktop Behavior

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

@nanowatt It seemed to have fixed itself, which is strange. Thanks for the help.

When I double-click or highlight and press enter on an icon on my desktop, it pulls up the properties. It doesn't happen anywhere else except on the desktop. I am running Windows 8.1. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

EDIT: Right clicking and then clicking open still works

I doubt that is the problem because it happens when it is being double clicked or highlight and enter. Plus, I never mess with those settings.

DO this just in case go to mouse properties on the control panel and hit the default for all mouse buttons
