Hello i have an 

 

amd phenom ii x4

8 gig of ram 

gtx 770 oc

120 sd

1tb hard drive

 

I play skyrim far cry 3 and planning on getting the new dragon age and witcher should I upgrade my cpu to a 

AMD FX-9590 

or any of cpu max spend is 1500

I'd go Intel if you're going to upgrade. Especially if you have a budget like that.

for that budget you could get an entirely new build with dual 970's

with 1500$ you can easely pick a 4690k with a good motherboard msi gd-65 Z97 is pretty good.

if you want, you can also probably add a second 770 to the package

 

 

also, what is your psu ?

Go with an i5 4690K, a Z97 MOBO (I have the MSI Z97-G55 SLI and its pretty good), and possibly upgrade the GPU to a 970 or 980, or get a 2nd 770 for SLI.

hell yea upgrade your cpu, if thats your budget i mean. performance will be heaps better so you might as well get at least a 4960k and if you want OP hardware get a 4790k. but the i5 4690k is all you will need if you just play games.

since i do a lot of content creation ill go with the  4790k
