Your thoughts on the cx 750 from corsair?

The shop I am using is: https://www.komplett.dk/k/k.aspx

My budget is to stay under 4000kr

But if you think there are better shops elsewhere I don´t mind using other shops, as long as it is within the EU :)

What PSU would you recommend over the cx 500 I currently have, or should I keep it?

If you're not upgrading to a 290 yet, your current psu is fine. But when you do: https://www.komplett.dk/xfx-proseries-core-edition-650w-psu/657686

Hi.

I am looking for a new psu that is both good, reliable and cheap. I have looked at the cx750 (not the modular version) I was wondering what you think of this psu, or would you recommend a different one? :)

There's nothing spectacular about it but it's not bad.

Where are you shopping/located? Budget? What are you powering?

This belongs in the Cases and Power Supplies section. I'm moving the thread.

I had this one and it's terrible.

It's loud, it has coil whine and cheap capxcon caps

The cable's are really stiff.

If you want corsair you'd better look at the rm series from corsair. or switch to bequiet/xfx/seasonic

I live in Denmark so I have to order stuff from within the EU. I am currently powering a Fx 4300 @ 4.5Ghz. An AMD Radeon HD 7870Ghz. I am looking at upgrading to a r9 290 and maby a fx 8350 and this is why I am looking for a new PSU. I don´t realy know about my budget, since I don´t know what I want to spend. I have looked at the rm750 from corsair, but it just seems so expensive.

I apologize for getting the wrong sub-forum, it will not happen again. :)

I've currently got and cx750 and as soon as I started putting it under load I get coil whine, and by the looks of things a lot of people have the same problem. Fast looking for a replacement but I'm unsure whether to go for an RM series or just change completely. The problem is coil whine can come from any PSU maker.

Can you link us to where you're shopping? What's your budget? The rm750 is quite overkill. A good 550w would already be plenty for a system with a 290 and 8350.
