Seiki 4k 39"

So someone I know is considering getting  this  http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8430969 because of the sale but I have heard bad things about the quality but am not certain. What are everyone's opinion on it, I know 30Hz but what about the panel?

To good to be true. In the way that it will serve you/him well. You will probably get a wrong opinion about 4K

From reviews I've seen on it, it seems like a great option for TV watching at that price, although not many channels even support 4k...

As for a monitor, 30 hz is unbearable (pcmasterrace) try setting your monitor at 30hz and see

Maybe elaborate on why to help the OP? I have seen good reviews on it on YouTube considering its low price. You're not gonna get an amazing 4k TV for $300
