Expandable aio? for gpus...?

I don't know how or if this would work, but I was thinking about getting the corsair h55 with the kraken g10 while it's on sale today for my 290.  If I get a second 290 in the future, I won't be able to put a kraken g10 on it because there isn't enough space, and the g10 is too wide.  is it possible to use 1 or 2 normal gpu water blocks with an aio?  I think there's a swifttech aio that is expandable, but idk...

I don't really know what I'm asking

Okay.. Without doing a full custom loop(because they cost too much) would there be a way to water cool a second graphics card? or should I just get the h55 with the g10, and maybe add a normal air cooled card in the future?  I can't use two g10s because one of the cards can only be 2 slots wide.

the H220X allows you to add custom parts

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Chop up a g10 so it fits in 2 slots? Or just stick to air cooling, if it's only 1 gpu that outputs the heat into your case it should be fine...

Or go complete custom and ghetto-mount it? It has been done before a lot and if it's done properly, it works fine.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

The H220, H320, H220-x can all be expanded and easily handle a graphics card maybe two added to the loop. I since you only have room for a maximum 280mm RAD I'd say the H220-x is your best bet.

okay, so if I got a h220x, I would need to get a water block like this?

that's already $270, what else would I need? like tubing, fittings, etc?

Well you're going to need a yard of tubing, I believe the mounts on the rad and cpu block are 3/8 ID but don't quote me on that. Then you're going to need your choice of fittings just for the intake and outflow of the block. I'd say compression fittings are your best bet but this is where my knowledge starts to fade and I'm not really comfortable on recommending brands or what to use.

get a G10 and cut off the part that's in the way. It will maybe won't look that clean, and maybe will make the part to mount a fan unusable. but if you can live with that go ahead.

And with ghetto mounting i mean something like they did on this forum: http://www.overclock.net/t/1047888/corsair-h50-h70-antec-kuhler-620-920-adaptor-for-gtx-480-570-580-interest

okay... I'm just not sure I want to spend that much, it's getting close to what a custom loop would be, and I can get a g10+h55 for only $65...and a new 290 is cheaper than the h220x and waterblock...

Yea at that point it is a custom loop, I mean you also chose like the most expensive gpu block you can get but either way custom loops aren't worth the performance gain in terms of price.

How cheap can I get a good gpu block then?  I don't really know what there is, I've only really heard of the EK ones

Like $90 for the alphacool nexxos one. Still not really worth it in terms of performance gains especially since you can't OC you're cpu.

No it cannot, the H220-x uses a standalone cpu block that you would normally buy if you were doing a custom loop. Might want to check out if the normal H220 can though since it uses the old design.

Edit* scratch that, the h220 can't be used with the g10 either.
