Will this game code work?

Hey,

 

You probably know about the Samsung 850 SSD offer with Assassin's Creed Unity game code. If I get the SSD from Amazon, together with the code and have somebody send me it to Europe, will the game code work?

Doubtful. The Gamecode is likely region locked.

There are easy ways around it, though. Often it's enough to just log in from a US-IP with your account.

Ok so what if I give him my steam acc so he can active it there (in the US)? Do you think that's gonna work?

You can easily use a vpn, I don't suggest giving your steam account to anybody, even friends.

lol no worries, it's my father going there for work for like 1 week. I was just wondering if he gets the SSD while being there, does he have to activate the game code while being there or I can simply activate it myself here in Europe. I am anyway building a new system so i wanna get some bundles with it...

VPN's will do fine. There are some out there, that will allow you up to 500 MB / 2 GB of bandwidth for free. This should be plenty to activate it yourself. (If that's the only thing you're planning on doing with it).

 

Always a good idea to have a VPN anyway. May just be me, though. In Germany about 50% of all YouTube-Videos are banned, due to copyright issues.
