Hey. So my problem is, that im confused.

This summer i bought a hp laptop with an AMD A8 6410 APU with Radeon r5 graphics. But in gpu-z a Radeon hd8500m is also listed. And if ive got it right then the r5 graphics is the integrated and the hd8500 is dedicated. But the thing is that theres more to the exact model than just hd8500 right? how do i find it, because i really like to see the specs :)

Thanks in advance

The Rx Series is, for the most part a rebrand of the 7/8*** series. So it's probably the integrated GPU.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

"Radeon R3" = HD 8400

"Radeon R5" = HD 8500

"Radeon R6" = HD 8600

Just the internal name for the APU graphics chip. Still integrated.

"Rawr XD"

But its just that i cant find info on the 8500m? Isnt there more like 8570? But still gpu-z shows 2 different grahpics devices with different specs

it used to be simpler in the good ol' days of Trinity and Richland when APUs weren't signed up with the whole rebranding BS.

what are the specs of the 8500M that are being showed? Odds are you have the R5 integrated GPU in the APU and it's running in CF with a discrete version of itself, which is why you can't find it online.

whoops, wait, the 8500M isn't the actual dGPU, it's just the series name of the dGPU. give us the specs and we'll be able to tell you what it is.

yep, that is a Radeon R5 integrated GPU along with a dedicated 8570M. Notice the 2GB of DDR3 that it's running, only one it could be. Nothing too spectacular, BUT it's better than what I'm running at the moment (an overclocked Trinity).

It also looks like you haven't got crossfire up and running? Might want to think about setting that up.

You laptop has two GPUs in it, if there is one thing that it should be able to do if the manufacturers had any sense at all, it would be to enable crossfire. In this case it's also known as dual graphics, but the protocols are exactly the same. And besides, your table says that ATI crossfire is available, so give it a shot anyway. The cards are compatible in the first place, so it would make sense that they be paired for this sort of setup

It's worth a shot, right? :)
