GTX 960 release date?

I am planning on making a new build and my graphics card sweet spot is arround 250€ (not $), so the GTX 960 would be perfect if it competes with the 280x.

Are there any defined dates? I heared it was supposed to come out late October but then it was delayed until february wich I find very hard to believe because there is currently a huge gap betwin 230€ to 350€ on wich AMD takes the cake with the 280X for 260€ (Portugal prices).

There has been nothing announced in regards to a GTX 960.

 

There's barely even been any believable rumors.

Why does it matter? Just grab a 290, they're dead cheap now

Guys, he don't want to do bitmining but gaming so leave your AMD GPU recommendations on the side.

With the way some peoples budgets are, they should stick to consoles.

Now it's also the price of a 290. Go on pcpartpicker and check it out.

It doesnt really help me, I'm not in america, I'm in europe, those websites don't help me at all, my only interest is the graphics card coming out or an alternative by its regular price (no sales)

If you order from German Amazon you can get an R9 290 for 328 Euros. Below that you have the 280X and the 760. The 760 is about 240 Euros. 

I would expect the GTX 960 to be about as powerful as a GTX 770 when it comes out. So just a hair weaker than the 290. You'll save about 90 Euros if you wait for the 960. Thing is, nobody knows when that card is coming out.

I live in Portugal, don't worry about the stock, i've talked to them and they are stocking everything up in late november in preparation to holidays.

That 280X is what I would buy given the prices at that particular retailer. A 290 would be better though.

 

280X for not a lot more money than a 760 is a good deal. 

 

BTW I don't think your retailer is going to be stocking up on a lot of those cards if theyre out of stock. A lot of stuff is being discontinued.

I'm pretty sure that card is being restocked. I agree with your choise, lets see what nvidia does to the 960.
