I have been looking around for a few weeks trying to figure out what kind of things that I need to get in a computer for it to be able to run games at good fps and then be able to stream at the same time but I still have no idea what I'm supposed to be looking for. Someone in a stream I was watching said that if I came here I might be able to get some help with it. My budget is about $600-$800 and was just hoping to get some good feedback with either a premade computer or a computer that I can put together at my house. I know someone that can help me put it together at my house if need be. I only really need a mouse and a monitor for things outside of the computer, I plan on trying to do dual monitors so I dont know if that makes a big difference, the mouse I should be able to find on my own. I'm trying to get a new computer because my computer right now is pretty much complete trash and I'm just looking to get an upgrade. Location is United States and I'm not so sure about what overclocking is so I don't really plan on doing it.

NEVER EVER CONSIDER BUYING ONE OF THOSE SHITTY PREMADE COMPUTERS!

#CustomBuiltMasterRace!

You're probably going to have to expand your budget a bit as gaming and streaming at the same time is quite hard on most pcs.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

If he goes for a Haswell CPU he could use the iGPU and quick sync video with OSB and loose little to no frames, the only time streaming impacts the computer hard is when your using the CPU to encode and not a hardware H.264 encoder.

I took a look at that post and added a couple more things to my original post. Thanks.

Dont get a prebuild, you can have so much more for that money.

Just quick build from me http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cx9qwP it is close to $900 but if needed different components can be choosed to match $800 budget though it will have less performance then.

There are plenty of people who would love to help you build one if you don't know how.

I honestly dont know what kind of things that im looking for specifically in a computer made for streaming so I'm hoping I can get some help here.

Just took a look at it and I bookmarked it because it's defintely something that I plan on looking at although it is at pretty much the top of my budget so I hope I can get some other ideas and see if I'm just kinda screwed and Going to have to drop $1000 on it.

Well, you can ditch out that SSD and it wont affect your gaming/streaming performance with this build but it is good thing to have SSD if you want to have swift and smooth system. You should get to $800 then.

Also a little bit over my budget but something I'm definitely going to save because I should probably just get a more expensive one so that I don't have to worry about upgrading.

Would it be better to spend the extra money so that the computer runs better?

That is a built a put together for you.  Since you want to do streaming it is best for you to get a cpu that has as many cores and threats as possible.  The I5 is a good options but the Xeons are better, they are not unlocked (cant be overclock with multiplier) and lack Intel graphics but they are hyper-threaded, this just means there are double the number of threads per cpu core, 4 cores - 8 threads, this will help you with h264 encoding needed for streaming.   I recommend h264 encoding over quick sync for now at least.

I downsized a couple of things, when you stream is going to be mainly CPU intensive if you go with h264.  That is why I picked a lower video card BUT you will be able to play most games mid-high settings @ 1080p and AAA titles around low to mid settings @ 1080p and you wont need to upgrade it anytime soon.  I passed on an SSD because like it has been mentioned it will not affect you when it comes to gaming or streaming and it is something you can add later. I also managed to squeeze in a 21" 1080p monitor for $821 after rebates.

It would be nice to get more details into quick sync with Intel HD 4600.  I seen some quick sync stream and I feel they get a big hit on quality and for the $ is better just to go with a Xeon instead of an I5.

It would be also nice for you to look at some videos, Linus has a lot of build videos so you can get an idea of the hardware involved because I am sure you are going to get a lot of suggestions and that can be overwhelming since its your first build just.

It has a nice powerful graphics card you will be able to max out every game to ultra at 1080p. and since you will be streaming the amd fx 8350 with its 8 cores will be better than a i5.

i would recommend getting an aftermarket cpu cooler later like the cooler master 212 evo and getting a ssd as well

So is the SSD something that I could buy later and easily install?

It's easy to physically install.  I don't know how many different ways there are to move Windows and data from a larger drive to a smaller one, but I did it and it was a bit of a nuisance.

In the end, I used Hiren's boot cd (version 15 I think) to clone the 1TB drive to a 500GB SSD.   Finding the right utility on the disc was annoying because some of them wouldn't even try it.  They would just say "No thanks, not to a smaller drive."

However, moving from the 1TB SSD to the 2 in RAID was pretty simple because of what I learned going from big to small... and the fact that they were the same any way.

I like this one a lot.  AMD CPUs are a good options too, you can save a few $ over intel counter parts and put them towards other parts, like the graphics card.  Very nice.
