I bought some earphones and they broke within 3 weeks i contacted the seller and they asked that i send the earphones back as they were supposedly an expensive brand. I completely forgot so i sent them three weeks after their initial message they received the earphones and are refusing to refund as eBays return policy only covers 30 days after purchase. I've pretty much accepted that i'm out the money that i spent but you know anything i can do or shall i just give up.

PayPal will do absolutely nothing. Trust me they'll just send you back to eBay.

 

If i've understood correctly, you sent the headphones back 3 weeks after they told you to. But now it's out of the 30 days return policy; so they have the item back but won't refund you? Is that correct?

Yeah they offered to send them back to me but what am i going to do with broken earphones.

It's 10 minutes of your time. Plus, if you contact them, they might be inclined to bend their policies a bit. Happened to me once. Just explain your case and be convincing.

 

^^. At least try make up some excuse like, the message didn't come through until 3 weeks later. May as well give it a try

Wrote this in response to the message saying that they wont refund me dont really know how to finish it though lol.

 

Right so in addition to the fact that the earphones cost £20, broke within 3 weeks and it cost me £4 for postage i'm being refused a refund for a supposedly "expensive brand" understandably they were sent late but that doesn't deter from the fact that the earphones broke within an amount of time that is unacceptable for a pair of earphones that cost a premium over buying them directly from the manufacturer
