Hey guys!

My friend was one of those guys who thought you needed $2000 and to sell your soul to get good frames. So I invited my friend to the PC master race and started spaming him with links to good deals.

From Tigerdirect.com he got all this:

Motherboard: MSI 970A-G46 ATX AM3+ Motherboard  (Purchased For $0.00)
Other: AMD FX-8300 3.3GHz (Purchased)
Other: SolidGear 650W Power Supply (Purchased)
Total: $0.00
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

For $300 USD in a bundle. Now were getting a four pack of fans to match the case, and a GPU. I found a MSI R9 270 for $100, and I think he's gonna get it.

We have Windows 8.1, a keyboard, and some speakers. He needs a monitor and a mouse. I recommended the Acer H236HL monitor, and unless you guys have a better idea he might get it. He might have to go with a cheap "gaming mouse" off amazon. Like the E-Blue or something.

Ill let you know when we get the rest of the stuff ordered, lemme know if you have any peripherals in mind!

Next update soon!

Ugh.

I think that the only FX series processors worth buying are the 4000s. I've used (and am still suffering from) a 6100.

Individual cores are still far more important than insane threading.

You are wrong m8. The 8 series FX are good as well... So are the 6 series FX CPUs... At least IMO.

Woah woah woah, I think you have that completely backwards! I would only recomend the 6 or 8 core line to people for AMD builds.

Glad someones on my side  :D

When I finally get round to building my budget AMD overclocker I shall be using an Athlon X4 750k. Don't know about mobo and graphics, I had a look a while back, maybe R9 or an older 7000 series.

AMD released the 760k and 860k, so those are cheap options too. Just look out for sales!  :P

Pretty sure the 760 is just a higher clocked 750... not seen the 800s though, shows how much attention I pay.

It is, but its like a dolar more on PCPartPicker. The 860k has a lower TDP and similar preformance to the 760k.

Yeah, I was hopong to OC the 8300, but my friend wont spend the extra dough for a decent cooler  :(

Yeah, building for friends is annoying sometimes, my friend has a 768p monitor and constantly brags about how he runs games on max settings with his GTX 750...

Thank you.

Wardojack.
