Evil Within Demo keeps crashing.

Go to solution Solved by Tedster,

This reddit thread might be worth reading through. OP seems to have same problem as you.

I'll look for more info.

Meh, while I'm at it, what are your full specs?

The Evil Within – Game Crashes Randomly or after Loading

It is a much known issue, the game crashes randomly anywhere or after loading. Here are some possible workarounds, try them, hoping it works.

  • First of all, verify the game files from Steam.
  • If you are NVidia user, open NVidia Control Panel, click Manage 3D Settings and then click the Restore Button with the green NVidia logo next to it.

You verify the Steam files by going to the game in your Steam library, right-clicking on it, going to Properties, Local Files, then Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

This is, if you've got the game on Steam.

Whatever i do it just keeps crashing, either when starting the game or going into the options menu. Im on w8 and i have latest drivers for my 660ti, any ideas?

I was clicking in the loading screen and it caused it to crash, its just a bit of a buggy game. I'm going to try those things later, anyway thanks for the help!

You're welcome. I find it strange that clicking on the loading screen would cause crashes.

Happy to help!
