Hello, so I am saving up money ATM for my first real gaming PC build. I have a build pre planned that is fairly good and I will list the parts later. But I wanted some other peoples ideas and input. My budget is 1k or $1,000. I would prefer it to be an AMD build but hey, surprise me. I would like to be able to run BF3 (or AAA titles) with 40-50 fps. I do not need a mouse, keyboard, OS, monitor, or PSU in this build. (I already have them) Here is what I have planned but feel totally free to just give me a build with none of the same parts. P.S. Using Newegg.com to build and buy. Parts list below.

-Case: Corsair 200r

-Motherboard: Gigabyte 990 FXA

-Graphics Card: Sapphire Radeon 7950

-Processor: AMD Vishera 8350

-CPU Fan: 212 Evo

-SSD: Samsung 840 128 GB

-HDD: 500 GB WD Blue

-RAM: 2x4 8 GB 1600-1866 RAM

-PSU: 900W

-Monitor: 21.5" LED Samsung

-Mouse: Razer Naga Molten Edition

-Keyboard: Logitech Solar Ultra Flat Keyboard

If I forgot any parts tell me and I will add them :) Until then please make me whatever build you can for my first gaming rig! Thanks!

Woah there buddy! 900W is EXTREMELY overkill for your system my friend. A 550w PSU could handle that, if you plan on doing some crossfire in the future just grab a 750w PSU. 900w PSU is no way a good idea and a waste of money! Everything else however looks fine

Edit: Didn't read that you already had a PSU. My bad. My statement still stands though!

OS - Windows 8.1 Motherboard - ASUS M5A99FX Pro R2.0 Processor - AMD FX 8350 Black Edition RAM - 16GB 2x8 Crucial Ballistix Sport Graphics Card - Gigabyte Windforce 2 OC GTX 660 Power Supply - Corsair CX750M CPU Cooler - NZXT Kraken X60 Wireless Adapter - ASUS PCE-N15 PCI-E Adapter Fans - x3 Masscool blue LED 120mm Fans Case - Fractal Design Define R4

Monitor - Dell S2230MX 21.5-inch Keyboard - Logitech G105 Mouse - Logitech G602 Speakers - Logitech Z130 Headsets/Headphones - Tt eSports Shock, AKG K240, California Headphones Laredo Phone - iPhone 4S

I understand it is way overkill. Thank you for noticing! xD It is my friends old one that he never used so I do not need to pay for it :P That is why I am just taking that one instead of buying a new one.

Totally fine :) Question: Why the GTX 660 Ti over the Radeon 7350?

What exactly do you mean?

Some people suggest the GeForce GTX 660 Ti over the 7950. Which would you go with? Why?

Ehh it depends, The 660 Ti has cuda which is used in a good amount of programs. However if you want raw gaming power the 7950 blows the 660 Ti out of the water. If you want to game go 7950 for sure. I think they compared because of the similiar price range. I would highly recommend the 7950 though

It looks good. The non pro 840 should pretty much be the same but cheaper in your scenario.
