Didn't really know where to post this so since it kinda has to do with my hdd thought i'd post it here. My brother is switching from Z77 to Z87 next week and he's going to be using the se hard drive on his Z87 rig, i was wondering if the Z77 drivers he has installed would interfere with the Z87 drivers if he doesn't uninstall them. And if they would, how do you uninstall chipset drivers? Thanks.

I would definitely uninstall them. Sometimes the driver disk that came with the motherboard has a button to uninstall them. Otherwise google best way to uninstall drivers for (your motherboards name) and if that yields nothing, search for motherboard driver uninstall.

Yah I'm pretty sure you need to uninstall because if you hook a new mobo to an older hdd with old drivers on it, windows can go through a restart loop because it can't find the new mobo drives.

Just do the normal uninstall process. The drivers should pop up.
