Here it is running on a 330M with pretty high settings, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJE_O7EFySY. The 310M should be able to run it to some degree but video proof is pretty much nonexistent for that particular game. There are videos of a 310 running other games though so you should be fine with it. In the future a good way to find if a GPU is capable of running a game is to hit youtube and search for it, people upload videos of Crysis on 8400 GS's so there's likely to be a video for just about anything.

Haha im reusing my sister's old laptop for my studies! I was wondering if i could run D3

Here is a 310m running bf3 and bf4 albeit on the lowest settings, that being said though I imagine that BF games are far more intensive than D3 is. However judging how a piece of hardware will perform in one game based on it's performance in another is far from a perfect way to figure it out. The best way is it just install it if you already own it or take the risk. The worst that could happen is that it won't run but I don't think that's likely seeing as it can run other games.
