It shouldn't, though I don't recommend the FX 9370 as a CPU if you don't have one already. It's power consumption and relative performance make it not worth it's price.

Will a fx 9370 bottleneck a gtx 970? Even if overclocking

It depends on the game, but don't get a 9xxx series regardless. Either get an 8320 or i5 4460 or better.

nope, but i dont suggest that chip unless you live in Antarctica, as it as as hot as ballz and is basicly a space heater.

a i5 4690k or 8320(e) would be much better options

Will a fx 9370 bottleneck a gtx 970? Even if overclocking

Yes it will.  Some games a lot, other games, not at all.  It all depends on the game being played.

Games want strong cores, not many weak ones, even if overclocked.  If you don't already own the FX9, you should get an i5.

it won't and u dont need to oc that cpu more than that i'd say, and a fx 8320 would be way cheaper is the same cpu.

So everyone else here who said it wont is wrong? :P

Depends on the game.

Some games you will get a couple fps less than an i5 or i7, others it will be the same.

A couple fps may not be a big difference in games, but if you dont have an FX 9xxx processor already, please dont buy one.

I meant a significant bottleneck. :)

No, I would not consider 5 fps a severe bottleneck unless you are on the verge of 60 fps, where going beneath 60fps could cause unplayable stuttering.

Unless you have a horrible graphics card you probably wont be going below 60fps, so the bottleneck will not be very significant ;)

Wait, in my original post I said it won't really be a bottleneck? Are you agreeing with me? Or do you think I said it would be a bottleneck?
