So I recently built a computer. It has the MSI Z77a-g45 gaming motherboard with built in Creative Sound Blaster Cinema.

My Tritton 720+ Headset isn't being recognized by it. I can use the audio through the USB but it also has optical from the decoder box and I want high quality sound. I really need some help to get the device recognized so I can use it.

optical doesn't have any recognition it's a one way signal.

You just have to enable optical out.

Will work for electronic components and parts

USB and optical will have the same "quality audio" though USB might pass on some static interference.

How do I do this?

On Windows 7, right click the sound icon in the tray, click playback devices, select Digital Audio (Optical), click set default
