Of this didn't GO to preferences>boot options>"CPU_core_(# of cores)>save>launch again

missconception btw setting this to the max number of cores is no different than leaving it completely unchecked, as long as it isnt set low. regardless, this only affects the actual boot process. not the number of active cores while doing anything else
