I have never had ANYTHING like this happen before. My 560(non ti) has ran me a long time but had gotten to the point of dragging on max settings at 1080p. 10 to as high as 50 fps.

Long story short I updated my driver YESTERDAY from the previous version (I do keep it up to date ish) to version 344.48 and I turned on DSR to play around with it. Without DSR I get 20 to 40fps on 1080p on TF2. After? 118. WHAT HAPPENED? Did it make that big of a difference? I would be interested to see other cards benchmarks. That's just insane right? I am not as technical as some of you but that's some weird boost.

This could make older videocards kinda viable again.

How the hell did something that inherintly fucks the performance of your setup boost it?

Something doesnt seem right. Did Nvidia reset your settings to "Optimal?"

20 to 40fps 1080p TF2 is surely a problem...

Experience : I have a 560 too

Just tested. Can anyone explain this? 150 fps with 344.48 and dsr compared to 40 fps on 337.88. Can not explain this myself. May not be just dsr but that's really the only thing they changed on the 560.

That's normal for some people. The game's unoptimized to the point of no return. :(

I haven't played enough outside of TF2 and UT3 to make a just statement, but I wonder if its only Fermis that are getting this boost.

If you suddenly have a performance boost like that, my guess the powerstates in your card's BIOS are fucked.

Must've been on P2/P3 or even P8 the whole time.. +)

- P0/P1 - Maximum 3D performance
- P2/P3 - Balanced 3D performance-power
- P8 - Basic HD video playback
- P10 - DVD playback
- P12 - Minimum idle power consumption

Install nvidia inspector, i think you can use it to manually change the powerstates. Maybe by putting it into P2/P3 or P8 you get the same performance and know what happened.

Enjoy your new graphics card hehe. I only knew about this stuff because Fermi used to be pretty annoying with multi-screens and clocking down to a lower powerstate during idle.

So i used nvidia inspector to automatically set a lower powerstate when i was in idle/desktop mode to save some power (and reduce noise).
