I think any big city is miserable, I was in London recently and it was cool to explore though :)

 

Yeah Harrogate is lovely, and you are only ever 2 minutes from beautiful countryside in the yorkshire dales etc :)

 

Work not really, I dont really know anyone struggling for a job, at least not more than anywhere else

You clearly need to live in Vancouver, it's glorious.

 

How hard is it to get to the mainland from Harrogate?

How's Leeds? Seeing as they're quite close.

Easy to get around via public transport?

I'm still super tempted to move to the UK for a couple of years.

Mainland.. as in mainland europe? you can just take the channel tunnel , you park your car in a train, it drives you over, takes like 20 minutes, or you can take a ferry, or like a £20 flight :P so easy :)

Leeds? Its a pretty big city, its where I go when I want to do serious shopping :) its not the nicest place in the world but its a city, it takes like 25 minutes to drive there, and theres always stuff going on

 

Public transport is decent, lots of buses trains and taxis
