Note: There are general rules (sfw, no trolling, etc) and the rule page it being worked on. It will be posted here shortly.

At this point, you might be asking: "WHAT IS THIS??"

As stated on http://blog.plug.dj/about, "plug.dj is dedicated to growing positive international communities for sharing and discovering music."

Let's see what this is about.

To start, you are planted at the dashboard.

(It looks like this)

YcB7GPP.jpg

Here's a brief overview: the tiles are communities. The right side is where your friends are (you can get some when you're in a room).

At the top is a search bar - where you can search all the communities.

Lastly, the bottom is where your playlists are.

How this all works.

Hover over a community and click join, or, click a plug.dj link (a room for LTT is below).

Also, once you're in a community, here is a basic overview of what you will see. (As you can see, I'm very bad at image editing. Oh and the quality was scaled down for some reason. Dammit Gimp)

For a more in-depth explanation go here: https://youtube.com/channel/UC6OwaUfw1EAhf4pFlm4EPeQ

Now that you understand the UI, let me tell you about how you can get music.

Clicking on the playlist button, bring you to the image below.

The list in the middle is where all your songs are. They are in order from which will play (top -> next, bottom -> last).

On the left, we have all your playlists. As a note: one playlist can hold a max of 200 songs, but you can have unlimited playlists.

At the very top is a search bar. This is where you get some songs to play. Whether it's YouTube or Soundcloud, just type a name or enter in a URL and it will come up with the best options.

When you have a song you like, hover over it and click the +, then a playlist. Bam! You can now play it when it's your turn to DJ.

DJ Waitlist

When you click "Join Waitlist" it will add you to the dj waitlist. If there is no dj, you will become the dj.

Users with permission (ex: Room Staff, Site Admins) can add / remove users and move them.

The max waitlist size is 50.

API and Other Info

"This front-end API will empower Javascript developers to write plug.dj extensions. The API is an event dispatcher that triggers after various events occur that developers might want to listen for. It is simple to use and what you do with it is up to your imagination!" - plug.dj

You can find a plug.dj API for making scripts and extensions here: http://support.plug.dj/hc/en-us/sections/200353347-Front-End-API

The "community" I have created for LTT includes my API extension - Soundbot (Source found here: http://github.com/FourBitus/Sound)

For a brief overview and commands visit that link. It's supposed to help the room staff moderate.

In the LTT room, you can play anything that isn't offending or considered trolling.

Edit: A staff application is now available. Visit here to apply: http://astroshock.bl.ee/staff

Edit 2: Rules list (changes a lot): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Yw20uXl3Yfy7GbYz7NpwnEYGCigbyrgbiOhlpATdae8/edit?usp=sharing

Finally! The link!

Edit: I'm no longer doing this. If someone wants to take over go ahead and do so.

Turntable was so much better but Plug really isn't that bad.

Well not saying its bad, but it just ends up with really crappy music on it.
