Enough Power?

Hi,

 

Recently I decided that I am going to buy either a Sapphire 11197-12-40G HD7970 3GB Vapor-X Graphics Card or a Gigabyte Nvidia GTX670 OC 4GB DDR5 PCI-E Graphics Card. However unsure whether or not my corsair GS 700 will be OK with that. My specs are AMD 8120 (I know im probably going to upgrade) 8gb DDR3 ram, asus m5a78l-m/usb, 1tb hardrive and currently a crap Asus HD 6670.

Yep will be sweet 700 watt is more than enough and it is a corsair so maybe not they highest end but still good.

I would agree with the people above that your psu would be able to power your 7970.

As everyone else said, 700w is more than enough. Also, I don't know why you are considering a 670 over a 7970, kind of a weird choice.

Me: Yeah I just really can't get my H220 working again, I've tried everything that was suggested in the forum.
