Hi,

I am new here at Linus Tech Tips. I came across this forum when I was looking for guides to help me build my own PC.

Here is the Link to the parts I am planning to get for my build : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/NzNByc

I would like to know if I should change anything.

Thanks.

How is the system going to be used?

BTW, the motherboard has dual wired LAN ports as well as dual band a/b/g/n/ac WiFi and Bluetooth. The TP Link adapter is not needed.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

I would prefer to have a lan too but my router is in another room and I would need a 20 meter or more long cable laying on the floor.

This is why I prefer a wireless solution. I would like to know if it is better to have a PCI Wireless or a USB one?

I did not know that... I will be using it mostly for gaming and video editing.

I did not know that...

There are a few things I would change:

- Change the CPU cooler to Noctua NH-D15. There is no better air cooler on the market right now and the 5930k likes a high-performance cooler

- No point in getting an 850 pro. It's not worth the price premium. Getting an 840 EVO instead will save quit a bit of money.

- For SLI the reference style cooler is actually better suited than the open-air coolers. If you are adamant on getting the open-air coolers though the get the ACX 2.0 FTW edition. THey have more heatpipes.

- Black series are noisy unless you got good anti-vibration equipment, keep that in mind, otherwise go for a WD blue or barracuda.

RIG: I7-4790k @ 4.5GHz | MSI Z97S SLI Plus | 12GB Geil Dragon RAM 1333MHz | Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 (1550MHz core/7800MHz memory) @ +18mV(Maxed out at 1650/7800 so far) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda | Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Closed) | Sound Blaster Z                                                                                                                        Getting: Noctua NH-D15 | Possible 250GB Samsung 850 Evo                                                                                        Need a console killer that actually shits on every console? Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

Sorry, but what is a good anti-vibration equipment?

Rubber anti-vibration mounts. They are often included in either the tray or in the case accessory box.

Does anyone know the best way to ship these parts to Qatar?

The main reason I decided to do a custom build is because the prices here for PC parts are ridiculous.

For Example: The GTX 980 is priced at $1,095 if it's converted to USD.

If you don't plan on 3 way SLI then go with the 5820K instead. If this is just being used for gaming and video editing though, I would stick with Z97.

Well actually I am not planning to get these parts now... Probably by Jan or Feb, 2015 so I am expecting the prices to reduce and I want the build to last me at least 5 to 6 years with only having to change the graphics cards in between.
