I'm looking for new headphones and I currently have a Razer set but I'm officially done with Razer due to the crap the company gave me over a 4 month old keyboard.Anyway i'm currently looking into getting a new headset for around 80$. I'm looking at any company that can provide a awesome customer service and provide a great product. I'm getting a Corsair K95 very soon so it that helps.

I guess you could buy like some turtle beaches or something, maybe logitech's new g-series stuff too, but I have no idea how much they cost.

Seeing as your pricerange is somewhat low,  I don't know what else to say, if you had more money you could get a modmic or clipon mic+ a cheap sound card and audio technica ath-ad700 or something. I think thats like 150$ for all the parts.

A modmic or zalman clip on take no desk space.

And it would be worth it to save up for ad700's

Will work for electronic components and parts

I don't like RAZER too, believe it or not, I had 4 products of theirs break on me (they exchanged each and every one, with new, but still???) the only good headset I can recommend at that price point is STEELSERIES SIBERIA V2 FULL-SIZE HEADSET it is good for gaming, for music it is not something exceptional but at 85$ nothing is, also it hat a option for reasonably good sound card for very little money :)

I've been using a corsair vengeance 2000 since last year. I've given pretty extensive feedback on it on other threads.

I don't think its heavy and have used it for a marathon 12 hour session once others might think its heavy.

the AD700 is a joy to listen to and a joy to wear. I've fallen asleep with them on my head and woke up and kept wearing them extremely light headphone.
