Posted October 22, 2014 *Heavy Sigh* What are the uses of this build? What is your budget? Why are you getting 64Gb of Memory? Why are you getting a i7X? Why are you getting 2 SSD's? Why do you need so many Case Fans? @sigge300 Please reply to the thread. Because he had a hard drive.
 Posted October 22, 2014 this is going to be amazing, will you post here the process of building it? The blood on to your heart start pumping faster when you notice me. But is ok. Judge me for my nickname, my avatar and for the low amounts of posts I have. I will keep your heart beat raised.
 And 32Gb of Memory is still to much! yes it is OVER-KILL probably not, but i want it and makes it future proof i like having windows and games on separate drives i regularly use around 20gb on my 24gb ram build now
 Where did you get this money? This isn't Future Proofing, this is unnecessary! Why not get a Core i7k with dual Sli? You can preform a Disk Partitioning Also 16Gb is good enough. Because he had a hard drive.

Z97 is supposed to support Broadwell so LGA1150 provides some degree of future proofing. i7-5960X is currently top of the desktop heap for heavy cpu bound processing. Unless one is rendering large 3D or other cpu intensive projects it is doubtful that it will offer better throughput than the i7-5930K and its 1GHz lower base clock than i7-4790K will offer poorer gaming performance. It is hard to make use of 64GB of memory. If you decide to go with that much, see if you can find an 8x8GB kit. That will make configuring memory to run at the advertised speed and timings much easier. I would suggest that you consider going with a larger ssd. A 1TB drive will have a much longer useful life than two smaller ones. 80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
 Relative performance remains substantially the same. I can understand wanting the fastest ssd interface. My suggestion regarding a single larger unit was based on the stated desire to future proof. Don't know about you, but I have dozens of older drives lying around that are all but useless because of their small (by today's standards) capacity. 80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Instead of the WD black get a WD RE, if you plan to edit to it. the WD REs are a little bit more but they are a lot better in speed and endurance. As far as I know the EVGA super clocked acx 2.0 is a better card than the asus. also you may want to consider a Xeon and an Asus X99E-WS instead, you are in that price range anyways. NVM if you want to OC but if I were you I'd sooner spend all the custom loop money on a beastly Xeon. Posted October 24, 2014 that better? Excellent! Thanks. Did you consider using the Noctua Industrial models, http://pcpartpicker.com/search/?cc=us&q=noctu+ind? With black bodies they tend to blend in better in many builds. The power supply seems overly large. With the build as is the psu will run inefficiently. You may want to consider a better sized unit. 80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
 Posted October 24, 2014 Storage: Plextor M6e 512GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($409.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 850 Pro Series 512GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($374.24 @ Amazon) Storage: Western Digital RE 4TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($279.00 @ Amazon) Instead of the two different SSDs, I would just get a single 1TB 850 Pro. You won't need to partition, and you could use the HDD as your (internal) backup.
 So one could go with a black & white theme. But only you know what pleases you aesthetically. With more memory, storage, and gpu, max draw will not top 860W before overclocking. 80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality. If you've seen Linus' recent video you know that the 5xxx CPU's give way higher minimal framerates.. although the aren't really faster at the max fps. They are way faster when using for compressing and rendering, than a 4790k And at least go for a dual 980 setup if you're spending 5k on your pc, haha
