ROG Swift monitors stock in US

Deepnoizer

I have decided a while ago to get one and work toward 3 of them at some point with my double 980s

Been trying to get one in US now for 2 months !

All the forums I look at look like people are purchasing them without huge issues !

Amazon did not have them since august, I never seen them in Bestbuy, they were in stock in newegg for total of 2 minutes at 4am Easter two days ago.

Better question is why are you buying an ROG Swift. The only thing it has going for it is G-Sync. There's other 1440p 120Hz monitors.

Go to a local best buy and they will order it for you with the option of picking it up at the store with no shipping cost, or delivered to you directly.

If I was going to get a high refresh rate monitor it would be that one. The panel is really good for being tn, and if you only care about speed then its the only 144hz 1440p monitor anyway.

It's crazy expensive though... unless you do highly competitive gaming there's other options.

Oh, I won't disagree there. I think $600 would be a more realistic price but even that it still more than most people would be willing to spend.

The Overlord Tempest is only $450, and the QNIX QX2710 E2 even cheaper at $350.

I have been using 30inch dell U3011 at 2560 x 1600 with 2 side U2311H on sides and while I love IPS colors the refresh rate and input lag got me to the point that it is time to improve. To make it more fun u3011 is back-lit with lamp not led and while that makes huge difference with even light, that thing gets so hot its hard to touch it, this is not fun and cost me lots of money in NY to keep it cool summer time.

Recently I have been able to ditch my first generation titans recovering most of the cost and replaced them with two 980s in SLI.

Now I have feeling that anything less than 27 inches would drive me nuts after living with the 30 for so long. I figured that two my video cards will be able to sit above 60 fps in just about any game right now and I would benefit from monitor that can do 120 hz or even 144. To make it more fun I have been having tons of fun in games like Elite, Arma 3, Star Citizen and I realize that if I ever want to go to 3 monitors I would benefit a lot from Gsync since I would imagine 3x 1440p would probably would make even dual 980s dip below 60 fps at some point.

I have seen I believe all the options out there right now like LG 34 inch and Tempest x270OC monitors and I can't think of the better route right now.

I'm open for any suggestions !

I used Nowinstock.net and picked one up in about a week off of Newegg. They only come in stock for about 10-15 minutes. Cant wait to get home and build my system and see how this monitor performs!

I got it setup up there but looking at the quotes there I might lack level of dedications like this:

Same! I slept with my laptop next to my bed, and the alarm woke me up at 3:18 and allowed me to buy the monitor!

In my haze I entered my billing info incorrectly, but thankfully Newegg allowed me to change it and charge it again.

I'm having the exact same problem as you, OP. The lack of being able to get this monitor is pushing the timing of my build farther and farther away. I don't have time to sleep next to a PC waiting for the nowinstock site to beep at me. Been on backorder with tigerdirect for a month and a half, they've changed the dates that they get some in stock on me 3 times. Starting to get frustrating, mostly because there's nothing I can do about it, and no one except the people that work in the warehouses knows when more will be in stock. Grrr......
