Hey guys, I plan on purchasing ATH-M50x's and I was just wondering what the best way to hook them up to my computer would be. I currently have a set of 2.1 speakers in the audio port on the back of my computer, and I don't have a sound card. I have seen that some people just use a 3.5mm y-splitter for similar situations, but would using one degrade the sound quality? I could use the front audio port on my computer, but I would rather not just for the sake of tidiness. Thanks for all your help!

Something like this might help, if you can find one for sale:
