I was wondering if someone could tell me if these parts would make a computer that would be able to run modern games at high or better settings. My budget is between $1500-$1800. I want this computer for gaming and internet surfing. If you have and advice of better parts feel free to tell me.

Change the 5400 rpm to a 7200 rpm. With these specs, you could also shoot for a 256gb SSD instead of the 128gb.

A less expensive build, but lost none of the performance. And a sexy blue and black theme. Good stuff!

1. ASRock boards (..) HAD a lot of issues in the past with build quality etc.

2. The EVGA NEX is not that good. The G2 model is better.

1. Had is past...

2. I know that, but it is still good, not as good as the G2 ;)

Why would you pick an outdated processor? -.-

And two would be out of my budget. But would one 980 be better than two 770

No. 2-way 770 in SLI will be better than a single 980 but it's not smart.

Getting a 980 now and, if you ever feel like you need it, getting a 2nd 980 will be much better than getting a 3rd 770 or selling them.

Good luck.

I still wouldn't trust them.

The op has the budget to go with the G2. It is worth the extra $30 over the NEX.

I thought it was 1500$...

Anyways...

The GPU, IMO, is overkill for 1080p...
