I'm thinking of getting this PSU due to its platinum efficiency rating and the blue colour, as it will match my build.

The johnnyguru review was positive, but I'm just wondering what you guys think?

Just remember, Corsair = Expensive, HX = Expensive, Platnium = Expensive, its a good PSU but you do pay for it.

Go for it. Never had trouble winth Corsairs PSUs... And ive never bought such an expensive one.

Aren't these semi modular?

The HX non-I yes but the new HXi series are fully modular
