'Budget PC' still gets the expensive ssd. mkay, you can drop a bit of money out of that, and still get fast, and reliable storage with a plextor m5p(if from newegg/ncix), or plextor m6p if from amazon.

Edit: Read it wrong. Still try to lean towards a plextor drive if it is cheaper. In my experience, they last longer.

CPU: better performance per core, you don't need 8 cores for gaming!

RAM: You don't need 16GB of RAM. No performance boost to be expected. Unless you are editing video or sth. similar, it is totally unnecessary. And since you wrote gaming PC...

Video Card: Very solid performance, good amount of VRAM for higher res. I didn't find the MSI version on PCPartPicker, if you can, get that. It is very quiet.

PSU: Get the 550W RM series, it is better in efficiency and has nicer cables.  Also 550W is plenty for any single GPU setup.

PC: AMD Ryzen 7 7700 || Noctua NH-U12S SE2 || 32GB DDR5 6000 CL32  ||
|| Powercolor RX 9070 Reaper || Asus B650E-I

I would suggest these if you're looking for 8GB sticks; however, you seem to get a bit more performance from these 4GB sticks.

If you're doing a Corsair build, then get two sets of these 4GB sticks

$50 extra if you can squeeze that. If not I suppose you could get Asus R9280-DC2T-3GD5 instead.

Recommending an Australian something on newegg isn't a great plan. Prices are way different down under, if those products are even available.

I'd hate to assume prices correlate, but 4x4GB sticks are usually around the same price as 2x8GB. Is this the case for your preferred retailer?

Also, those Trident X series are amazing with overclocks. Mine are stable with 8-9-9 24 at 2200MHz.

Those sticks I recommended are the lowest price to GB sticks in the whole of Australia (according to pcpartpicker that is).

holy balls! If that's true, then someone needs to partner with a retailer and grease some pockets to get import taxes reduced
