Walking on your toes?

Do you do this?

I have started doing it several years ago on several occasions. Why? Because I don't like to get my feet dirty.

Now you can say: Wear socks or wear slippers.

But often times I forget that at home.

Also yes, my room floor can get dirty.

I mostly do it at night when my father is sleeping in the living room and I need to sneak by to the kitchen.

Honestly I am pretty agile, subtle and sneaky for an overweight guy. :P (not just because of this)

On your toes?  I'm not a ballerina. lol.

But mostly no, because I keep my floors clean and I have no reason to.

Nope, my feet are always dirty, my entire foot. I always walk barefoot through my house, and it isn't always sparkly clean.

yep i do this, you're not alone, did it as a kid and mum said i was hyperactive-i was a kid

I do it now because i have pc parts for projects throughout the living room and i havent hoovered (may still be hyperactive..)

The floor boards here are like drywall and dead thin and the girl below is like a mouse with bat ears and complains about any noise whatsoever (i like my silence but she takes the mick, she even complained to the council about drunks).

We live on a main highstreet/hill with bus's going past every 7 minutes, cars and bikes going up and down the hill and clubs with drunks 6 hours a night, 3 nights a week and this is a listed building so its single glazed and its always loud!...rant over

Walking on the balls of my feet means no standing on a dropped screw....or plug or wire.

It keeps the noise down (i do hate people that walk along BAM BAM BAM, its like "do you have feet or just walk on your heels likea pirate with wooden stumps?"),

My calves are built up and now as i walk i finish every pace with a push of the foot, i now approach 6mph while walking....seems a bit wierd i guess but in my life if i have things to do and places to be, im not going to dawdle around, i'll stroll around and smell the flowers when im 60..

I can stand up supported on just my two big toes. I started trying when I was 9 and still do it daily as stability training.
Totally sidetracked but partly relevant, u used to not care about dirty floors, but now i do, and up here i gotta sweep daily or its dirty, so i just wear shoes.

I do this a lot in conjunction with my yoga practice. It does build calf strength and increases foot strength. Walking chaturanga is always fun. Handstand prep also makes you walk with your toes a lot.
